    Sure Jeremy....

I am up to that. I would gladly write an article explaining this process. All I have to do is acutally complete the swap :D and then I will write it. :)

    So...

If I originally had a column mount automatic, and I am changing to a floor shift from a 67 Mustang, do I have to get the actual shift lever out of that transmission so I can mount the neutral switch on my tranny and it will work. The floor shift and the column shift levers seem to be different. Is this true? I know I need to rotate it 180 degrees, but I think I need a new shift rod that goes inside the tranny. Is this correct? Like Earl said, I think I need the Mustang one. Just, double checking. Thanks

Corbin; depends on what the manual shift arm in the trans looks like. It has to have a slot in the arm so the dog on the switch can have a place to anchor into. That is what turns the switch when the trans is shifted from gear to gear. The one I had was smooth, as it was on a column shift car, a 1975 Comet. I had to get the right shift lever. They are easy to find and cheap. Got mine from a trans parts house, and cost me $6.00. If you have a problem finding one, I will get one for you, and have it sent. Just mail me on the forum or over e-mail and let me know. Good luck!

    Thanks Earl...

Thank for the info and the offer. I know I have a smooth lever, and since it was a 73 column shift, it makes even more sense that it wouldn't have it. I think I should be able to find one out here, but if I can't or it's a hassle, I will let you know. Thanks again.
