oh ic.. so you also put the new starter in without the header on.

but either way that sounds like some good news maybe it will fit. i hope

i noticed in the picture of the starter.. it comes with two wires where does the other go?:hmmm:

i guess i'm ordering the thing tomorrow.

anyone else have some insite on this thing before i buy this thing?

yeah will be using a stock solenoid..

so you mean that one wire goes form the starter to the solenoid (like the stock one)

and the other/ extra one on the starter you can just run to where now?

oh yeah and thanks for the other link...

I jumped the small terminal on the new starter to the main terminal on the new starter. Connect your existing big wire to the new starter.
When you hit the key the stock solenoid sends power to the starter main wire which will energize the new starter solenoid. When the key is released the power to the starter is shut off.

The starter comes with pretty good wiring instructions.... I mean, I figured it out?!?!?.... If you get into it and have questions I'll be more than happy to check mine out and see how it's wired. It's jammed in the garage right now but I can move the other car out tomorrow and take a look. I think once you see the instructions that come with it you'll be all set

ok thats what i'm talking about.. pictures who the heck reads instructions. like tim the tool man taylor says.. real men don't need instructions :D actually its comming back to me.. the one mini starter i bought over 3 years ago was set up like that after someone told me to do that same thing. lol!

thanks.. :bouncy: it should be comming in the mail tomorrow. now all i need is someone to start praying real hard that it will fit without removing the header.

Well someone must have been praying cuz the thing when in like cake tonight!

Very happy with it! Not to meantion how light the thing is.. every bit helps when your on you back on the floor with a kinked neck! :p its supposed to weight 5 lbs less then the factory starter.. i didn't weight it but you can just tell the differance when holding it!

As usual i put things on and am happy.. but no, i did not start it yet cuz i don' think my neighbor would be to happy!

Below is picture of who it fits. No need to remove headers. For me to pull out the OEM starter i always remove the steering arm since its only two bolts. personally i dont think you even need to remove it now with the smaller starter but it would just make more room if you did anyways. But again very very happy on how it fit.. now hopfully it works

but i do still have one questsion b4 i start this thing. i know some of you said to jump one of the leads to the other.

    however the instructions said this:

WARNING: DO NOT INSTALL A JUMPER WIRE BETWEEN THE BATTERY TERMINAL AND THE SOLENOID BLADE TERMINAL AT THE STARTER TO AVOID THE USE OF THE 12 GUAGE WIRE. IF DONE VOLTAGE IS GENERATED TO THE SOLENOID BY THE STATER SPINNING AFTER THE RELEASE OF THE START KET OF BUTTON, CAUSING THE STARTER TO REMAIN ENGAGED, RESULTING IN SEVER DAMAGE AND EVENTUAL FAILURE OF THE STARTER.

so i just did what it said in the instructions here.... see below

so what that will work too right? just wanna make sure.
