Sounds okay to me. I just pm'd your address to him for the shipper. Go ahead and send him the money. Eric...scan down Don't say anything. I think he's gonna fall for it and we'll split the money.
Great. One more saved from the crusher!!! Even if it is just for parts. Those parts will help others live on. Great find!! Jerryfow2
Here is an update - Started tearing it apart yesterday and today. It is an interesting car. Too bad the frame and most of the body is rotten. It has some cool features. Details: 62D Grabber Built April 72 in Canada. DSO was Michigan. Factory 302 Floor shift 3 speed 3:00 rear end Black BENCH seat interior (with a 3 speed!) Original color was gold, later painted to red Manual brakes and steering Tinted windows but no A/C Sport lamp grille The story I got with the car was, it was driven up until about 15 years ago, and then parked ever since. Waiting for somebody to restore it. That never happened and the car rotted away. I found reciepts in the car dated in 1989, so the story seems legit. Odometer reads 96,000 miles. Grabber hood is very solid and also an orange/red color (vermillion?). Front fenders do not match, so maybe there was some front damage at one time and those parts were replaced. That would explain why the hood is so good, and most of the rest of the car will crumble in your hand.I can't find any other signs of damage, just all the body rust. Funny too, the passenger door is quite solid, but the drivers door is junk. The passenger door has the same gold original paint, so I think it is the original one. Engine tag dates are also April 1972, so I do believe all the drive train is the original. Please don't email or PM me for parts from this yet. Once I sort it out on what I'm keeping and what I'm selling, I'll post it in the classifieds. A couple parts have been asked about already and i have PM'd everyone back about them. One thing I do want to ask, can anybody use the roof? Maybe to fix a vinyl top rotted car. The roof on this car is perfect, no dents or rust. If somebody speaks up about it, I'll cut it out before crushing it. I thought about posting some pictures, but we have all seen rotted out cars before .... Eric
ill be sure and watch for it in the classifieds as i would be interested in the front bumper if its in real good shape
I found a roof for mine, but my .02 would be to keep the roof if it is good. Vinyl tops are hell on roofs and someone would surely want it if you have room to keep it around for a while. The roof is very light, but also very bulky. Good luck Dave
