    Thank you!

The Ford name for it is 'bright red'.

The bumper-guards on Mavericks look absolutely hiddeous, and are part of the reason for the uncool stereotype that these cars have had for so many years. If your car has them, they should go in the garbage can as soon as possible, and no one should even think of installing them on cars that never had 'em...

That's what you told me about the vinyl top .... glad I didn't listen ... :D

The uncool stereotype came from big bumpers and 4-doors .... and lots of grandma's used to drive them ...

Well, it's a simple fact that my car looked about 3 times better when I removed the bumper-guards. Of course mine were bigger and uglier than those you put on your car.

There was some cool stuff on cars in the '70s, but a lot of lame stuff too. I try to keep the cool stuff and get rid of the lame stuff...

I'd rather have Bumper Guards then a chain steering Wheel!, But then again that's just me!

I think the big bumper cars are better looking and am in the process of converting my 72 original grabber into a big bumper 74 grabber clone.

blakebob, what condition is your car in? someone might be willing to trade, at least the bumpers and valances if not the whole car.

Hi! it is a rustfree Arizona car with only 62k orignal miles. Sorry, and I just learned how valuable the valances, bumpers and hood are. Advertised them locally with no luck. They were all scrapped, my bad. Just found this site, now know of my mistake. I was intent on finding a low mileage rustfree floorshift v8 car and this was the best candidate I saw in a 3 year search.

April 1st was over a month ago ... you are joking right? You bought a rust-free 71 Grabber just to convert it to a plain jane big bumper car and junked the Grabber hood and all the small bumper parts? :yikes:
