Just wondering, Has anyone bought the 3 piece rear spoiler from up22.com if so was it just as good as a factory Grabber rear spoiler?

I know someone is going to think I'm crazy for bringing this up,but, has anyone ever noticed the similarity in the front of a Pinto and a Maverick, early years? The reason why I say this is I have a Pinto spoiler from the 70's that was made for road racing. It has ducting on it and is a cross between a spoiler and an air dam. From everything I can tell by just holding it up and eyeballing it.It will work.If I get achance I'll take a picture and post it.The reason I brought it up is some cross dressing between a Pinto and a Maverick isn't sacrilege is it? Gives us another direction to look for parts.

i was talking to the owner of showcars about 3 weeks ago and although he struck me as a decent guy he seems a little to willing to take my money. I had called him and wanted to know if the molds for his maverick fenders had the notches already in them. (wanted them for my 76) He could not tell me for sure and then he could not locate the mold (stored in 3 buildings). Apparently he still wanted me to give him money without me knowing for sure. So I told him to call me back and let me know. In his message he left he told me that the 70-75 fenders are the same and the 76-77 are the same..... he had talked to a guy that knows mavericks.......(anyone on the board)......LOL needless to say I didn't order from there, his prices on his webpage doesn't match what he quoted me, and I called twice and got 2 different prices for the same part. Ray if I had of known sooner about your car I would have mentioned it. The people he has answering the phone and email I could barely understand..... thankfully whenever I called I talked to him directly

There has been a lot of discussion about "Showcars" on this board most of it has been bad. You probably did good by staying away from them.

syklops75; no, the grabber spoiler won't work.....as the rear corner pieces are different. However, with a little ingenuity and determination, and some body work, anything can and will fit. Give it a try!!!

I hope it is not too late, but

    STAY AWAY FROM SHOWCARS!!!

This is important! Did you get the urgency in my message?

Tell all your friends, they are crooks. Period!

I have purchased items from them, then been told they are out of stock. Then when I ask for my money back, they say, "nah, no refunds, we will hold it until you buy something else, and put it toward that purchase."

Not Good Business. Do a search on the forum and check it out.

Rayzor, Did you take the photo they are using on their website? or was it taken at a show or something? I guess I'm asking how they got hold of it. If you took the photo teh going rate for web usage would be about 250-500 per image per year. Because.. he is using to sell his items. If you took the image. Copyright it. It costs about 25.00 and then send him a copy of your copyright a photo of you standing next to the car and tell him you need 400.00 for the use of the image or it's going to court and he will pay court fees. That is very Blatant and he should pay.

Yes, I did take the photo myself. I imagine he stole it from this message board. I thought about doing what you suggested but with them being in Canada, I don't know if it would be worth it. Might wind up costing a lot more than $25 in the long run. And you know the BIG shame of it all is that the front spoiler didn't even come from them.
