I am thinking I will do the RC107.. Yea, welding is part of what I ment..
As for the strutt rod and or bushings. I don't think the rod is used with that kit.. I didn't go back and look. ..

Edit: I looked and don't see them in the pic. With upper and lower "A" arms I don't think it will use the rod anymore..
Glad for the feedback on this. I hate it when I do alot of work or spend a bunch of money and find out I had a better option.. Therefore, I will be calling them and asking about that "Shock wave air ride". Never heard of it. And I still am not clear about that "slide adjust" for the height. Sounds like a bad description for slide adjusters.

I am going to install the total control products set up with coilovers on car I am guiding for my dad. With the Wilwood breaks set up it was not cheap.

If I started over again I would have gone with the set up that 71gold recommended. I also ended up getting the rack and pinion set up from RRS. I probably spent three times what 71gold's recommended set up and your will gain all the room from removing the shock towers.

here is the best pic I have of it. it's the L shaped bracket at the top of the shock. I've had no problem with it...(y)
as for the...B] strut rod support.[/B]...it is no longer needed...(y)

The rc107 kit is on my wish list too... I have looked at a bunch of kits and always go right back to Rod & Custom...

Ok .. Looks good Frank. Were the arms that color? Did you have to change the oil pan?

Gene, nothing comes painted (except maybe the springs?) it's all bare steel. Here's a better pic of the height adjustment. The yellow & red pieces go outside the frame rail, the rest goes to the inside (it's just set together in this pic). The red piece slides up and down on the yellow piece about 2" total travel. Held on by two bolts per side. It's pretty sturdy, but prolly wouldn't hold to a General Lee jump. :D

Hmmm, all my chit came bare, but I ordered the 104 kit. Maybe the (more complete) 107 kit comes coated?

So looking at the pics again, I see that the ride height is adjusted by turning that seat ring on the shock..?

Most "coilover" suspensions are done this way for fine tuning the ride height....and are used both the front and rear.

Not to worry, they are large square cut threads and as long as the jam nut is tight, they won't strip or wear at the threads.:tiphat:

Gene, Coil Overs have been around for over 50 years and started out being used on race cars.............like everything else it migrated to non-race applications............................as long as you stay with proven good quality shocks like Bilstein, AFCO, QA1, Koni, or Carrera you should have no worries along with using the proper lubricant on the threads...................IMHO
