I could get one of these.... Dummy-jection...fits over a 4-barrel intake and carb

But even these start at $1,200

I used to get all upset about the Chevy in Ford thing but I find now I couldnt care less. I think fixing cars for a living for so many years makes you numb to brand loyalty. An engine is an engine in my books. Run whatever you can get a hold of and can afford. Then drive the crap out of it.
Hell if it fit Id stuff a new Hemi in mine if my 5.0 blew up. Its easy and cheap for me to get a hold of.

I just always figured that the Chevy guys always ran Chevy motors! They just never could find a good looking Chevy body to put their motor into! Guess I don't blame em too much. But I do the same as somebody that else posted...I walk right past them at the shows. Don't excite me one bit!

Yup, with a Ford, you don't need a Good Wrench.

I like it. Now I just need to remember it I don't like putting a chev in a ford because too many people are doing it. I like doing things different than the croud. I drive a maverick, not a camaro or nova. I say go with the 460. Lots of torque and noise. :yahoo::tiphat:

when you build a Ford motor it belongs in a Ford.
when you step into the aftermarket world, you are getting the parts from the same company that makes the GM, Mopar,ETC,ETC...
you choose to have....better block, heads, cam, intake, carb, dist, rod/main bearings, crank, rods, valves, lifters, waterpump, timming gears, oil pump, fuel pump, coil, oil pan, ETC, ETC...

none of these are built with stock Ford specs... :tiphat:
