That car is chopped. I took video and no pics. Look for a samall video on youtube.

    Total car count was 26.
Drag racing was almost a bust. We got to run for 45minutes before the bad weather moved in.Past that it was a perfect weekend. A total success. I enjoyed meeting new and old friends alike. I had the time of my life. Can't wait for next year.

I implore every mavericker/cometeer to support these events. Regardless of which club floats your boat.

I would like to take the time and wish Nick and the MCCI a successful roundup.:thumbs2:

That's great Lance...26 cars is great for a 1st event.
    Thanks for the update.

    Hey Guys,

I just uploaded some pics from the drag strip the other night to the gallery. I didn't get too many shots, but, these are some of the better ones. Mother Nature won the first round on this night. You can see the ominous clouds in the background in a lot of the pics! I had a great time though. I sure wish I was going to be able to make it to DC!

I'll look through all of the pics again later and see if there are any more that I can post.

I'll also go back later and add some captions to the ones that I posted already.

    Later,

What a great time we had at the GATHERING!
We got to see lots of old friends and made new ones [IMG]
The turn-out was greater than anything I could have expected.....what a great show of support!
Let me say thanks to everyone that participated and those that worked their tails off to make this a great event!!!!
Marcia [IMG] you went above and beyond; I am so greatful and thankful for you and your "helpers" that made it the success it was [IMG]

A big thanks to Ruth and Don Graham for working the fishing tourney for the kids. It was really fun and I know my kids enjoyed it! [IMG]

Thanks to Robert and Rhondi for bringing the snow come machine......it didn't survive it [IMG] but it did not die in vein!

Thanks to Lance, Frank and Allan for manning the grill at the car show.....excellent cooking!

Thanks to all the vendors and people who donated prizes to the raffle.....it was super great!

It was definitely an event that was successful because of everyone who attended and those that help throughout the week (volunteered) to do whatever was neccessary to keep the show going.

A thanks to RADMAV and the gifts that he donated, Ward and I was trying to talk the winners out of the sauce.
Thanks to Lonnie for the grabber stripes.
    Dave Moore for the tools
    Matt for the tool box
Robert for the hat and water jet plates
Mr. Bailey for the great donations
    Frank for the SUMMIT HATS

*I know I am leaving people out and I am sorry [IMG] but the list is long and greatly appreciated!!!!!

    more pictures added.

It was an awesome event, already looking forward to next year! Other than the rain on Thursday night , the weather could not have been more ideal. It was actually cold sitting outside at midnight!

Thanks to everyone for making it possible.
