Your spending thousands and yet cutting out a few simple holes is a hassle to you? The overlays are only as good as the person that installs them. I've seen Earls and a couple of others in person, and you couldn't tell they weren't factory white gauges.

Good luck getting someone to paint that.

Will be painting them myself, which will be no problem, just didnt want to do that. The process of painting them will be more work than cutting out holes in a sticker, so I dont want to hear no **** about me not wanting to work. with all the stuff I have to do to this vehicle, like puttin in a 351,or installing the whole new dash, I wanted this one simple little process to go smoothly and it didn't.

I'll definitely post pics as soon as im done (waitin on the two gauge clusters I bought to come so I can play around with em) :D

I have seen the ones that require trimming and cutting...
I feel the same way about them.
If they are going to sell the gauge faces, they should already be suitable to fit.

I will not be buying any either that require me to finish them for the seller after he takes my dough.

Like I said before ... I am pleased with mine ... there were 2 guys selling on eBay in the past. One guy had them pre-cut ... one guy didn't. Mine were pre-cut and still look perfect after after about 1 year ....

Or buying a car that someone else has restored.
I personally enjoy doing the work myself...I can say "I re-built that car myself from ground up". Of course there are almost always certain things a person just cannot do or doesn't have the talents to do but I like the challenges of building a car and have no problem trying everything at least once. Guage faces happen to be a simple job that you can actually do on your dining room table (depending on  wife) in a hour or two. It's like building a model car...you get satisfaction when you see it finished. Seriously guys, Once the overlay was on my guage panel I may have spent "10" minutes trimming out the holes. What is "10" minutes???
Okay...I can't believe I'm still writing on this. :slap: I'm going to bed.
    Have fun guys.

I have a couple of sets of them white face overlays, but have been too lazy to install them. As an option, I have seen an after market tack and speedometer installed in each hole in the dash they looked great and looked factory. You can get them in white.

Whats the deal with eveyone wanting white faced guages? I myself can't stand them. Much prefer black faces with white numbers, easier for me to read, especially at night. If thats the look you want, go for it, my hats off to you:tiphat: , but I'll stick with the black face myself.

I've seen that too and like it. I'll be looking into that in the very near future. I'd love to get that tach out of the way.
