Plastic sheeting from home depot works great. Get the real thin stuff. It's about $3 for 200 sq ft. I agree on the tape. The blue 3M tape works real well. I'll never use the cheap yellow stuff agian, bled right through. If you put on a heavy coat, you have the lift the tape before it dries, or it'll crap up the paint. I like to use a razor blade and hair dryer while I'm taking tape off.

Well not on me!! LOL! Normally just a hair dryer set on high or a heat gun set on low is enough to get the tape to come off clean. If it starts to peel or tear (tape or paint), I'll score the paint along the tape with a razor blade to get a nice clean line.

I dont' have enough hair to need a dryer either, but my wife does! She "needs" to upgrade her hair dryers and straighteners, curlers, etc. about once a year so I get new heat makers for my garage and house stuff.

I do not have any pics....

But there was just a lot of orange peal. Most of it wet sanded out pretty nicely, but some I got really deep on the paint and I am concerned about it. Probably not as bad as I think, but I figure its costing me nothing but my time and a little money for paint.
Not to mention that since looking at the car painted completely yellow (VIPER YELLOW) that I have decided it needs another color or two on it :D
So I am not really starting from scratch.....just backing up a couple steps (y)
We have basketball games all weekend, so I will not get any progress on it this weekend, but I will try to get some pictures next weekend.
