Gonna swap the trans this weekend. How to clean it up and prep it?

    Scott...I allways toss the nylon gaskets and weld the outer nut to the pan.:thumbs2:

    Just remember to leave the plug in the nut when you do it...Or you may never get the plug in it afterwards.

    I have a deep sump aluminum pan with a drain and a threaded hole for a temp sensor. This thing. I'm quite fond of it. Last time I had to put a temp gauge on a transmission I ended up using a T and compression fittings, couldn't make it stop leaking.

    It's on the right side of the pan. Comes with a plug, but the sensor for a B&M electric temp gauge threads right in.

    By the way, if anybody decides to buy that pan based on what I've said about it, you might want to call BTE or the seller first and make sure it's got that temp sensor fitting. The pic on the website doesn't show the side it's on, and it looks like it might be slightly different than mine. You can see it on the transmissions they sell though...
