Good old drum brakes?

    I think most repair shops are honest. At least most of the ones I've ever had to deal with are. They will estimate very high and 99% of the time the actual cost will be less (which makes them look good in the customer's eye). You can spot a "backwoods good ol' boy" dishonest shop a mile away.

    They just didn't want to work on it. I was taught the same thing when I was first starting out in the repair business. Most shops are the same way.
