Good quality hoodpins

    NOT Mr. Gasket...the pins are nice, but the metal plate is crap. Too thin, and will rust out.

    I bought a set from that catalog that sells only Chevelle parts (you see them in the front of Hot Rod, Car Craft, etc). Much thicker plates, but had the wire-pins that look like bobby pins (girls' hair pins). I kept my Mr. Gasket clevis pins, I think they are called, with the spring loaded round ring that snaps back and holds it onto the hood pin? I think they were $35 or so from the Chevelle catalog. Came with a set of plastic coated wires with premade loops.

    Ran my own wires to the clevis pins since I kept sticking them in my pocket or throwing them in the front seat, or on the monte bar, and never knew where to look for them when it was time to close the hood. When mine rust out, I have those backup wires from the Chevelle catalog.

    Two 1973 LDO Mavericks (one 4 Drag one 4 driving like Mad on the roads :) ) also have a 75 6cyl Stock! Ok, well sort of Stock :P
