Ok Dan, Il start a new thread and whenever you get a chance you could post them it's no hurry tho. Thanks Maverick73
Perhaps Stefan could do me a favor and make it a Sticky under Technical so I can find them for all members and not have duplicate requests ...
I have seen the Comet bumper guards in '73 centered under the taillight pod. I had a buddy in H/S with his that way. I think they look better where Lois has hers. I left mine off. The earlier Comet bumper guards were where she has hers. Seth
Doesn't Tom Laskowski have a parts list he offered to anyone for the cost of postage, or do I have the wrong guy?
Rear bumper guards on a '73 Maverick can be seen here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6057&item=2496646163&rd=1
I suppose if you know your car had them originally, you'd want to put 'em back on to restore it to original, but after-the-thought bumper guards are akin to curb feelers to me (jmho). Intresting that there's a lot of interest though.
Hey Tim, those are not bumper guards anyway. They are the little extensions that bolt to the valance panel below the bumper. Just look at any 65-68 Mustang rear and you will see what they really are. I have seen these before but have never seen them on a Maverick. Not sure why they have a Maverick part # unless threy were an option.
Hey Tim ... Dennis is correct ... those are the lower guards that cover the valance panel .. not the bumper guards ... my bad ... See this thread .. http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=9353
Well After pouring and concrete all day Still waiting for it to dry enough to finish so its gonna be one of those days Then this GEEEZ What a day. I called Green and ordered the set and they called back later and said they didnt have them after all but the refered me to another company but they havent returned my call.
It's funny how people's tastes differ. Ya'll are trying to find these parts, and I'm planning to take them off of my car. (Along with trim and emblems) Like I said, it's just everyone's own personal taste. They do look good on certain cars though. They just don't go with my planned theme. Those look sharp though!!
