goodbye t5 hello tko600

    decided to take out my t5 and go with a liberty built tremec tko 600 upgraded with a Lakewood sfi bell housing which is alot beefier than the stock t-5 bell need a 26 spline clutch different drive shaft but gonna make this setup work in my 71 mav. anyone done a tko 5 speed in a mav or comet? just curious hoping for minor modifacations but we all know how that goes fingers crossed...

    Yeah, in my 70 tunnel I had to have the whole top of the tunnel cut out and replaced because the lakewood bellhousing was to large to fit in.

    What about the brace for the transmission did you use the one you already had or did you have to get a new one. If so did it bold directly up without modification?

    I have a faceplated TKO 600 in my 69.5 with a Time bellhousing, just had to tweak an already custom T5 crossmember. No tunnel mods.

    I had to replace my 70 tunnel with one from a 72 so I know what you mean
