I was going to go to Knott's and I'm on the show committee for this, but my 9-5 job is sending me to Seattle that weekend. The club I co-founded (So.Cal.Falcon Club) will be there and have a booth.

I may enter just for the goodies as they are gonna be nice.

I may try to make one of the Star Light Cruises at NHRA. I've seen you and your car there, but in the past drove my street rod. Now that the Maverick has new tires and wheels I'll drive it out next time.

I think the next Cruz is April 14, Oh darn, I'll be in Orlando then. Maybe I can get back a day earlier.

    hotrodbob-

where did you get your wheels? I found some at www.wheelvintiques.com

the set i bought from Maverick5946 is for the strip but, i need a set for the street. i was thinking of 15x6 on the front and 15x8 for the rear. 15x6 is as small as the will make unless i drop down to a 14 inch wheel... and i dont want to do that.

I love the look of the Magnums...I just wish they didn't sit inward so dang much (4.25" backspacing), so I'm probably just gonna bite the bullet and get Torq-Thrusts (3.75" backspace).

So they don't rub with those 245s??...

    Thanks I like 'em too!

I got them from STOCKTON WHEEL. They will make them up to YOUR secs. Want 4" or 3 3/4" back space, no problem!!! He also can make up different widths. I went with 15x7's al the way around. It's a little close to the rear springs, so 4" back space would have been better.

Talk to Frank. He is the owner and the guy I spoke with. Tell him I sent ya (Bob Beck AKA. Hotrodbob)

When you talk to them, ask for Frank. he is the owner and a friend of mine. he used to sponsor my kid's dragster. I run his 5 spoke mags on my Ranchero and the magnums on my Maverick.

    Bob-

Thats a sharp looking ride... I bet that turns some heads when your out in that.

~Question... What size are the old wheels you have on your maverick with the hub caps? That is the look I'm actually after on my Maverick for street wheels. I want to go with stock type steel wheels painted the same color as the car along with the hub cap that you have but no trim ring... I want to get that Old School / Drag Package look like some cars had. You know the kind that had just a Plane Jane look but the big motor with the Drag Package.

Any chance you may want to sell those hub caps?

Here's the look I'm after... but a custom size order with your friend

    WOW what a 'Stang!!!!!!

The stock wheels are 14x6 and these were the stock trim rings and caps. Still have them. Hadn't thought about selling them. Lemme think 'bout this. Justy bought a project for the youngest son and thinking of getting rid of all my spare stuff.
