The hood on my '72 does the exact same thing at like 80 mph. My '69.5 dosen't seem to do it, but I've only had it up to about 73 mph. so far.

My '74 Grabber was real bad about it. It would raise up a good 3/4 inch and kind of wobble around at 75 mph. But everything on that car was totally worn out.

I plan on testing it this afternoon ... I'm at work right now ..... I've had my Yellow Car up past 80 MPH and that hood doesn't budge ....

    Dan,
another thing to check is the ...hinge mounting bolt nuts...they are swedged in the wheel well and do work loose.
now that the hood is mounted.. grasp it from the back and see if you can move it up and down with the bolts tight. if so you might have to have the nuts ...spot welded...:yikes:

    ...Dans' friend Frank...

It's 100% solid when sitting still. I did test a couple of weeks ago. one side went up and one didn't. So I adjusted the one side again but haven't tested. The hinges can be bolted to the fender apron at varying angles yet still close properly.

My 74 did the same thing and it never unlatched and I took it past 100 mph.
