Way to go Erick. Cutting a .500 lite and running in the 6's is great. They must have had good track prep to run those numbers at Qualcomm. How does that compare to Irwindale?
Riporter: My converter is supposed to stall at 5500. Jim: The track is not very good...it's amazing that we can hook on it at all. It's just regular old pavement with no prep, no VHT and ricer water dragged to the line. Every time I pull up to the line I'm thinking to myself "man there's no way I'm going to hook up on this track". I guess it is better than it looks. Irwindale hooks better though.
Pics Added There's 3 pics of the Maverick on the racelegal.com website if anyone is interested. Maverick publicity is always good. http://www.racelegal.com/site/images/gallery/06_08_25/index.html
Nice pics,Erick except you have that "deer caught in the headlites " look. The track must hook pretty good for that hard running black Pinto to run there.
Very nice runs Eric!! Congrats on the wins, looks like a heck of a good time. Do you ever plan on going to Barona 1/8 mile? We are going up on Sat. for the Sat night Gambler/test and tune with the Falcon. Just to do some baseline stuff before starting the transformation, and have some fun. BTW that Pinto has a 514cu. 600+hp stroker in it. That guy is a blast to watch.....the wheels are up on the launch and when he comes down, look out, it might go straight it might not. The wheel base is pretty short for that kinda power. He's a heck of a driver though, and a really nice guy. Anyway, maybe we will run into you sometime. Ben
