Whoa. I could buy myself a new hood for that! *ponders*

Wonder if the little plastic holdy-uppy thingies were solid on that one. (forgive the brain fart, it's late and I start classes tomorrow) I think they may be broken or damaged on mine...

My grill was dry rotted. Plus I wanted something in metal that could be painted black. It has the same curves as the factory, just no turn signals.

Mine's the same, it's practically crumbling in my hands. I wouldn't mind getting my hands on another one as the Comet front's starting to grow on me, but it'd definitely get a blacked-out treatment whenever I find it.

I don't know how good you are fabricating things, but I think a grill made from 1/4" stainless rod would look good. You would have to make the brackets to support the grill. then make a jig out of wood to bend the rods for each grill bar so that each of them would be the same. The bars could then be spot welded on the back side to the support brackets so the welds wouldn't show too much. Then you would have to polish the rods for a shiny look, or paint them for the blackout look. This could be done with a few simple hand tools, drill, grinder, cutoff saw, except for the welding. Gets me to thinking, how much would it be worth to make the afore mentioned grill? If I had the raw materials and about a day free, I could probably turn one out pretty easily. I may have to just make one and see what the response is........

Billet would be nice, but expensive to get. Stainless is a lot cheaper. I'm going to look into this further, see what 1/4" stainless rod is going for. It may be a while, but I think I could pull this off. I'll let ya'll know what I find out.....

Wish my camera was working, I could show how I'm now holding up my bumper onto my car (it's been in the trunk since I got the car).

    Ready?

Zip ties. (was thinking duct tape, decided to forego the redneck route ;) )

Ken that Comet looks great. What is the grill made from? The bumper looks like it belong on the Comet. Nice color too.
