Glad you and the car are OK. We are constantly battling the weekest link. I'm sure the tranny is alright.
Guess the track wasn't happy:D There's always next weekend.

Fortunately this was after the bracket finals of the night so they just closed that lane and ran T&T in the other. Here lately seems like I AM the weakest link.
It's too bad because I was lined up with my mentor and his Pony and I had actually cut a 525 light and had the pedal matted when the T-brake disengaged.
I just knew the student was gonna take the teacher to school:p ...uh-huh...yea right:coco:

Well it turns out there was some damage to the tranny, it's slipping pretty bad coming out of the hole. My 60's have gone from 1,28 to 1.33
We'll pull it this week and put some new clutches in and go ahead and have the stall reworked while we have it out.
With a little luck I'll have it back at the track in 2 weeks and the next thread concerning this car will be accompanied by a 5.97 second timeslip and video.:)

If you find it please let us all in on it:confused:
The sad thing is this could have been avoided this by using a AN fitting vs. a hose clamp, in my haste to get the car to the track I took a shortcut that I shouldn't have.
I actually raced the car in the Top Eliminator class last night and broke out on both passes, the last being a 6.12 with a 3 and a 1.33- 60 ft.
The tranny slipping makes it feel like it's not hooking up, David said what happenned when it pumped the fluid out was it "hazed" the clutches.
That's ok though...you live and learn...in 2 weeks it's "Katie bar the door" cuz I'm bringin it.

One thing that I havn't mentioned is the motor was built to handle a 200 shot of the juice if I was ever so inclined to shoot it.
STEPHEN MOORE....don't make me do it:D
I'm looking forward to that day in October at Mooresville(y)

Sorry to hear that! Are you running the glide that came with the car?

Yup...same one Allen....we tore it down and went through it when I got the car and it was fine ....it just gives us a good reason to go ahead and get the converter reworked while we've got it out.
Maybe it will cool off a little in the next couple of weeks...the heat is just stifling.. to top it off I was told after my last qualifying run I had to have a jacket to race...borrowed one... triple layered and 3 times too big...I poured the sweat out of my boots after each pass and wrung my socks out:49:
I'm not complaining, just making a statement....it's way too much fun to complain:)
