It looks like a tri 4-bar type of setup but with the upper triangulated bars going to the rear rather than the front. Interesting idea. Details????
GrabberGT, I can't talk for them but I did talk to them about the same thing. I know they wanted to keep the rear seat and using the bars that it came with it wouldn't have worked. I also know that they fabbed a fake rear and mounted it and researched and tested that it would articulate correctly. You could call them they are very good guys and I'm sure they would give you a time that is good for them as they run their own business and work very hard at it. Go to yellow pages and search "Hahn wood working" somerset, Ky. Hope that helps.
I spoke to Tony Hahn who came up with the idea after trying everything. He spoke to Rod and Custom who was very interested in seeing how it worked out. Tony sent pictures and measurements and they are supposed to be working on developing a kit on a customer car. I road in the car quite a bit and it handles and drives really nice.
If you are friends with Chis on Facebook, there are some pictures of the car being built on his wall. Very Nice I'm glad Ive kept my White & Orange car all these years.
Very Beautiful Car. I agree...one of the very best color combos Ford designers put on the Maverick/Comet. Reminds me of my second Maverick, which was a 73 Grabber, White with Orange Grabber Stripes and Orange Halo vinyl roof, with auto floor shift. These guys did Ford proud with this one.
in reference to the rear suspension. I seem to recall (last year when I visited the Hahn boys) that with the suspension set-up the way it is; there is actually 2-3 inches of suspension travel up/down before the pinion angle changes....thats trick!
Nice build photos on Facebook Thanks to Dave for helping me find the address- - -http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000350854976
