Im trying to reinstall my balancer but the crank keeps moving. Is there a special tool that I can get to stop this? My car has a c4. I thought about putting something in between the flywheel and bell housing but im scared i might crack it. I bought a flywheel tool but it doesnt fit what would you guys suggest?

    Thanks
    Matt

Are you using the crank bolt to drive the balancer on.. or the specialty tool which has a bearing on it?

Not using the right tool can be disastrous if threads strip or bolt snaps off in crank. I usually use a long pipe or screwdriver through the flywheel hole.

I was able to tighten the bolt and the balancer moved pretty much to the correct spot as far as i can tell just cant crank it to spec.
