John, yes I was at Atco on Father's Day. I packed up early because the engine had a misfire, when I got home I found out that the Head gasket failed on #5 between the cylinder and a water hole. I got the motor a little hot when the battery died on the way home from a car show, I think that weakened the gasket. I decided to put copper SCE gaskets on the motor, took me a month to get them, then when I fired the motor it leaked water. Took it apart again and coated the gaskets with copper coat, just got it back together this weekend and will try it out on the street tonight, then hopefully back to Atco again right after Yellowbullet.

Yeah I thought it was you. I was racing my mustang and my son was racing his also. I'll have to check it out at either yellow bullet or Atco.

Here's a couple of timeslips from Saturday night. The track just wasn't working, and my 60 fts were bouncing everywhere. Best pass of the night was the slip on the right. I was running left lane on both passes. 60's ran from 1.39 to 1.50! I had to dial it up and drive the top end lol. Time slip on the left was my best pass in eliminations... .007 package :thumbs2: I won Sportsman class and got down to 6 cars in Pro. ALMOST made enough to pay for the day lol.

I went to the Texas Motorplex for the last bracket race and won Street last night. Not an easy class to win for some reason. The last three times I lost there were by opponents having .020, .004 and a .006 lights. The car was really helping out last night, went 9.18 down to 9.16 after 1:00 in the morning. They have the 1/4 mile timers on for TT's and it went 14.416 and 14.417 Have to wait for the points totals, but looks like my nephew is Track Champion for Electronics. He won Foot Brake though. He has two spots in the Bracket Finals and wants the Maverick for his second ride. My daughter will be in the Stang, him in the Mav.

Made it to Cecil County Raceway last week with newly rebuilt engine. A little more compression, a bigger cam, and a vacuum pump. Went 9.49 @ 140. While that's my best ever, the engine still had a miss throughout high gear. I've just about tried everything except the ignition box, so out went the 6AL and in went a new 7AL box. Will try again next Wednesday night at Cecil.

Boss302maverick - Great in-car video! You must have 6,000 rpm stall converter, that thing is singing off the line.

I hit Cecil County on July 22nd to try new ignition box, problem solved. Car went 9.28 @ 151. Can't believe I suffered 2 years with slight misfire and it was the MSD box all that time, lesson learned.
