yeah I don't use the AC and I just want to install a radio so I don't have to listen to the annoying main berings going out (which will be fixed soon). How much would you want for the set?
Just for information, the ac tray is about 1 1/2" narrower than a non ac tray. I dont think a standard tray will slide back far enough if your putting it in a car with factory ac.
Your best bet would be to find a complete doner car and remover the heater box and controls. You also should realize the factory air cars do not have a drivers side vent. It was never cut out of the cowl. This is not a big deal, just something to consider.
Finding that donor car is something that can be very difficult. I did find one, but its in someone's driveway and it hasn't been tabbed since 1999 and I can't seem to find them home. It looks like the same year but a maverick 4 door. Would love to just scrap everything I could ever possibly need off of it, but I would need them home to approve.
