O.K. Thank you very much for the help, The installation was a success!!! BUT, I still have the same problem as before!! this sucks. the problem is that as soon as i pull the switch, all electrical shuts off; radio, gauge lights, brake lights, park lights, horn doesnt work properly, and no turn signals. My ground from the solenoid to the a/c unit is clean. so i dont know what else to check.

Try running a 10 gauge or larger wire from the negative battery post to the frame of the car. Make sure you sand the paint away to bare metal and blt the wire down. Then check you lights and accesories.
It sounds like a bad ground to me. This will cure it if it is.

Ok everyone who has helped me, mucho thanx goes out to you!! LIGHTS ARE ON!! turns out that when i got rear ended about 4 months ago (yet to replace or fix bumper) the wire going to the license plate light was pinched. so it was getting grounded out. The weird thing is that i was rear ended in july and it didn't start happening until about a month ago! At least now i know how to change out the instument cluster and all that. Thank you very much guys!
