Headliner install questions as I proceed to install

    how many bow holes do you have for each bow?
    mine had 3 on each side.

    If you read the service manual, it'll tell you what holes to use, and what hole to use to raise the headliner for more head room. Mine is higher on the left, that the right. :)

    I bought brush on contact cement from National Parts Depot, they sell for installing headliners, worked great and it was like 5 buck.

    how does that work...:huh:
    my bows came in contact with the insulator matt in all positions...how could it go any higher?

    All my bows hit the roof also.. What I read is that the different holes help adjust if the liner is too taught during instalation. If I thought they would raise or lower the liner at all, it would be very little.. About as much as a baseball cap button :biglaugh:

    I was pretty sure I only saw one on each side. After reading the article I will have to see, maybe I missed the other(s).

    Page 45-41-7, in the 74 Body Manual, "Position the headlining in the vehicle. To maintain the the most driver headroom and wrinkle free headlining, insert the support rods into the upper holes in the left, and the lower holes in the right roof rail." :huh:

    so why didn't they just put only thoes 2 holes in the roof rails to start with...:huh:

    My theorie is that they used one set of holes for the plain vinyl and the other for the more solid type liner. I have seen two different qualities or types of material used.
