I've figured out where the hose goes to bypass the heater core (leaky) but the connection i need to make is between the a/c compressor and the engine. Its so tight in between there that the hose collapses. Is there a better route for that hose that would avoid that?

Can you clarify what you're trying to do?

Bypassing the heater core. I understand you can loop back around to the other port on the engine. My problem is, there isnt enough space between the a/c compressor and that port to get the hose on without it folding closed from being bent to tightly. I wanted to know if there was a better route for the hose besides going straight down between the engine and compressor.

Use enough hose to create a path that doesn't "pinch". Even pinched it makes no difference, heaters up into '70s(esp Ford trucks) often used a valve to shut off flow completely.

Loop a hose between water pump and intake manifold. AC should not be a factor, what-so-ever. Can you post pic of what your referring too?

I got it guys. The hose was too soft where i was trying to bend it. 20180619_151925.jpg

im going to be replacing all the rubber on this thing. Yes thats aluminum foil on my fuel line. Im trying to see if it will help shield it from heat. When i drove the car yesterday, after the car got warmed up it acted like it was being starved of fuel. I popped the hood and noticed the fuel line was really hot. My first thought was vapor lock. would that be correct?

It might be vapor lock. I would remove the alum foil from the hose first, see how that affects things. I don't see the need for foil in that fuel line; hose may be picking up heat from foil. I never ran foil on a fuel line in many decades of operation on any vehicle.

I first ran it without foil and had problems. Im going to drive it again and see how it does.

    Hey Newguy :
That outside V belt looks cracked and worn .. Maybe change it before it lets you down . Just a thought.
