Cool! Is there an AR Maverick/Comet Club Chapter? If not, sure seems like there's enough of us to start one!! Ours is a '72 Maverick 2 door, 6 cyl., on the floor shifter, which definitely does not look stock! Someone had started restoring this car; some things are new and others have been removed for replacement..only thing is, they didn't replace it! The body is straight, a small amount of cancer on the driver's side rear quarter panel at the bottom, but perhaps the WORST feature, that's going this weekend, by the way....Is someone replaced the carpet with an oriental rug..and it's GREEN! LOL!! Keep in mind, the Mav's interior is blue.... Hopefully it will be out of the shop this afternoon, I'm eager to take pics before we really get started on it. I'll post a few here, that is, if I can figure out whether to post 'em here on this thread, or if I can find a picture thread!!
Atleast you have carpet... I currently have no seats, no carpet or door jam moldings. Looking for all 3.... I will proboally put racing seats in it. I do have a seat of red seats out of a 91 Ford Tempo... if they'll fit in it til I can afford racing seats, I may do that.
Don't know if there is an Arkansas club or not, haven't noticed any mention of one on any of the forums. By the way Andy my drivers side seat is broken, being help up with a couple pieces of short 2x4's. And DeboNG, if you know how to post pictures your ahead of me. If you want to post them and your wrong.....I bet someone here will let you know.(lol)
From your friendly SEARCH button above, the instructions on how to post a picture finds: http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=7710&highlight=post+picture Noobs!
Rick, I Got Half Of This Right, Go To The Thread You Sent Me And You'll See My Pictures. Now I Just Have To Post It In The Correct Response
Well, if this forum is like most message boards, I use photobucket to upload my pics to, and then use the link in the body of my thread. I was just wondering if pics have a special place, or if you can just put them in your thread.
There is indeed a club for these cars and this message board is a big part of it. Every year we hook up at our Roundup for the best time you could ever imagine. Last year I believe the count was 43 cars and it gets bigger every year. Check us out at: http://www.maverickcometclub.org/
