    Hello I have a 1971 Maverick project card have had it for a few years now looking to do some major work at this time. I have just purchased a helix Mustang to front suspension hopefully will be uploading plenty of pictures of that installation. 20140904_182314.jpg

    Welcome. Im new too. I've heard the 70 and 71s are a little harder to squeeze a V8 into because of the tunnel?? Any guys have experience with this issue?

    V8 install is the same for all years. If going with anything bigger than the 302 family, it is best to trim the shock towers.

    The tunnel is narrower in the 70 model year - which makes transmission choices a little more complicated, but the V8 is fine.
