Looks like a speaker adjustment. I didn't know Mavericks had those.

Yeah it says speaker adjustment. I thought it was crazy too. I don't know what I'm gonna do with it, since my planned system wont use it.

Thankfully nothing is rusted thru. I will do some rust conversion before priming and painting.
Anyone have a reccommendation other than silicone for sealing the floor plugs so I can avoid this re-occuring?

Is silicone not good for this?

Been a few days since I've updated but I'm still truckin along.(y)

Here are a couple pics of the trunk, a little more surface rust here, as well as some intense pitting, and a couple small holes.

Didn't get any pics of the condition of the trunk floor before I started, but you get the idea.

This is definitely not the fun part to me.:biglaugh: I can't wait until phase 2 rolls around.
Phase 2 = getting everything back together, laying carpet, steaming doorpanels and other interior pieces, getting passenger seat fixed, headliner installed, etc...:dance::dance:

I was also able to pick up my small bumper conversion stuff most at the JY, and Yellow75 provided me with some parts that I needed as well. Thanks again Yellow75.(y)(y)

Pics to follow soon on the mockup.

Yeah it's gettin there. I got the read bumper and associated stuff off yesterday, so each day I'm a little closer to where I want the car to be.

Thanks for the compliments you guys.(y)

I got the tank dropped today, so that I can finish the rust removal in the trunk. Fun Fun Fun. The pan under (above) the tank looks good, only a couple pinholes to fix. i'll be taking the tank into a local radiator shop to be boiled out and sealed. i'll try to get some pics up tomorrow.

I gotta couple pics of my temporary rolling stock. I had a set of 17x9's in the garage from my Chrysler 300 after a 22" wheel swap, though it might be cool to put them on the mav temporarily to roll it around. They sort of look okay on the car, but I have my mind set on bullits. Putting them on worked out for me in a couple different ways. One i cleared out much needed space in the garage, and two I kinda get an idea of what it's gonna take to fit 17's. the tires are a little too tall for me, but again this is only temporary.:)

Well I should be getting the engine tonite. I found a good deal on a 78K 93 Roller 302 from a guy on CL. He is delivering it tonite around 6-7pm I'll get pics up later on tonite.

Well the guy with the engine was a BIG FLAKE, just as well though, it probably had something not right with it.
    People on craigslist sometimes :16suspect.

Well I started the mockup of the front bumper switchover tday, and I must say, I think it's coming along nicely.
I notched the stone guard instead on cutting the fenders, it was a trial and error process to say the least. Probably took 2 hours trimming 1/8" at a time. In the end I finished it off with some vac hose slit down the middle as a "rub guard". Im yet to bolt the bumpers up to the frame rails, but with the old bolts partially threaded in it acted as a nice support to line things up. Now I just need to re-align the hood to lose the gap from when the PO removed the engine.

    Here are a few pics

Nope, both the front and rear bumpers are junkyard finds.
