Got he heads painted up tonite, I chose to not paint near the exhaust post on purpose, to avoid having to scrape it off anyway for the header gaskets. I'm using aluminum headgaskets for hopefully a "leak free" seal.
    Here are a couple pics.

I went with the aluminum color because I think it will offer a nice looking contrast against the Ford dark blue engine.
I'll have a chance to install them tomorrow morning, I'll take more pics of them on the engine.

Well I decided to get on it tonite, My wife has a hair appointment in the morning, which makes me the sitter:bouncy: so I wouldn't have much time till the afternoon tomorrow, and my buddy said he wanted to come help, so we pulled a late one and got done about 1:30 am. Got the steam holes drilled out(which was real fun I might add:naughty:) and got the heads installed.

Half off day at pick and pull tomorrow. So I'm going (weather permitting) to look for the pullies and brackets to do a serp belt conversion. (crown vic)

Here are a few pics of tonites work.

Thanks guys, It was worth getting to bed @ 2:45am to get it done. I'm chomping at the bit to get to the JY today before the rain sets in. I wanna get the serpentine setup home, cleaned and painted so that I can install it this weekend.

    Couple more shots
I test fit the headers tonite, seeing how easy or hard it will be to get them bolted up, well some were easy, others were pretty hard. I'll probably have to get some different bolts to do the install. I just have these bolted up no gaskets.
    The headers are headmans.

Tonite I got started on plumbing the brakes. I got the MC plumbed in and the new adj. prop valve for the 4 wheel disc conversion. Tomorrow I'll start on installing the new hoses from the calipers to my hard lines, and hopefully be able to get everything bled this weekend. One more step closer!:D
I'll get some pics up tomorrow night. I'm tired as all get out. :outtahere:

For now I'm going auto. i have a built C4 and a TCI street fighter torque converter just itchin to be installed.
As far as color I'm probably gonna come back white again. I think it'll look good with the tan/golden interior and be a little less expensive to do. That and I like white cars.:D

Well the brakes are all done now, all bled out and has a nice FIRM pedal. I did have a couple leaks to sort out but after that everything was good to go.
I got the cowl area all blown out of the years of debris from the car sitting in a yard.
Got the front shocks installed, and the LDO trim removed which is now for sale OBO in the sale section:D
I also found out that I had the wrong front cover installed:mad: so I got the correct one now and am degreasing it, and getting it ready for paint in the next couple days.
Other than that it was a slow progress weekend. I still need a shifter and have been considering a quick silver to do the job. Ratchet action is a must on for this mav:character0182:
I also got all the brackets, pullies, altenator, and a/c compreesor to do a serp belt conversion from the JY Saturday morning. A dozen doughnuts two tall coffee's and a 20 dollar bill secured the deal for me there.

Note. Take your JY guy a dozen doughnuts and a coffee and see how far it gets ya, gets me reaaaaaaal far every time.:D(y)

Lettin her get a little sun

    New pic of the engine.
I got the serp stuff sorted out finally, thanks to Corbin Johnson for setting me straight on the whole water pump issue which was primarily the reason for my confusion. I almost there. I can't wait to fire this thing up. Hopefully thru this week I can get the engine bolted up to the transmission and get it ready to go in.

I'm debating on cutting off the portion of the bracket that holds the PS pump, kinda up in the air on that one since I'd have to get a new bracket if I ever decided to go back to PS.

    Later:tiphat:
