    image.jpg image.jpg Searching for additional photos and information about Ed Skelton's 1970 Ford Maverick. Raced under Guy Ford out of Anderson, SC. Randy Payne took over driving it and I know for sure that it was at the SS Nationals at York in '70. Here are the only two photos I can find of it. Enjoy the high-resolution images and I look forward to hearing from you all!

    I loved those early Maverick/Comet Pro Stockers. The Boss 429 powered cars generally weren't a match for Dyno's SOHC, but they excelled in the "cool factor". They are the main reason I bought my first Maverick when I turned sixteen. I'm 61 now:(
