Nah, your engine looks fine. Mine is the scary looking one.

Thats a pretty scruffy looking radiator though. I think it's time for a replacement. Did I mention flush the system while you have it apart? Your hoses don't look to bad.

If your dad can change the oil he should be fine flushing the system and putting a new radiator in.

That's a nice looking Mav. Wish mine looked that good.

good catch, could be why its getting hot.

 

Get a fan belt and leave the radiator cap loose so it cant build up any pressure. That should hold you untill you can get a new radiator.

 

why no fan belt??? you need a rad....frank...

 

Fan belt.. that's a good question.............I must have had one before.. could it have fallen off? Aww geez, I wish I would have taken Auto Mechanics in school.

 

Have you tried a patch?

 

you could get a lower psi radiator cap after a waterpump drive belt and you refill the radiator.....

 

yes...It appears to have slung off somewhere....
