    Hey Guys,

Can I get some help identifying some wires from the harness? The first thing in the photo is on the right side where the white rubber thing is. It has a female spade connector on it. What does this go to? The other is on the left side of the photo, the yellow or white wire (can't really tell) that has a loop in the end of it. What does this go to? The wiring is on a 71 with a 6-cylinder originally.

Any help would be appreciated. I've checked a wiring diagram, but so far have been unsuccessful in identifying these wires.

    Thanks, and later

    Hard to tell...

...but out of that harness comes the wires to your ignition system, temp sending light and oil pressure light. I just checked, I don't have any detailed
pics of the harness from my work. I don't know if the 6 cyl. harness is the same. There could also be a wire for the choke mechanism. I can't think of
what else would be there. Both the temp sending unit and oil pressure sending unit should have the same connection-push on. I believe the sending unit
in a 6 is in the head and it is on the intake on a V8. IF the wires are intact,
the longer one should be to the oil sending unit. Again, I assume the oil sending unit is near the oil filter as it is with a V8.
