Help with longer wheel studs for racing

    Drum brakes are always a debateable subject here. Most of the negative comments are because the cheapest route was used to install shoe's, and drums may not have been turned properly, if at all. I think disc's are the better of the two, but they have their own issues too. Those that remember the old rivited shoe's, can recall the lining was ground to fit the drums, in a good brake shop. Ran ten second cars with drums with no problems, the whole brake system must be working properly to maximize the stopping ability of them. Short shutdown tracks, are a little more condusive to disc's, as are the 130+ mph cars. We could get into pedal ratio, proportioning of front to rear pressure's and even size of drums and rotor's, but each person has to decide what is best for his application and style of driving.
