got to the shop and started working on the maverick, goal was to get all the wiring out of the car and make sure all the splices are cleaned up and that all the connections are as solid and clean as possible.

this is what I started with ....didn't get as far as I wanted but still a lot done...

most of the wires is all the stock wiring still in place that I took apart, a lot of splices there...most of what I have done myself over the years, some from the PO.

pulled all the wiring out!! finally...glad I got that done because now I can really clean everything up...got a label maker to make sure I get everything back in place...

pretty slim pickings for wires, had to do a wire run but the electrical store near our shop is going out of business, they have almost nothing so I came back empty handed. The wires at NAPA were not what I was looking for.

look how awesome it looks with all the wires out of there!

cleaned up more wiring...not using the neutral safety switch from the automatic tranny so was able to remove the wiring....gonna hook that up to the T5 neural switch and reverse switch...

here is all the labels I made for now so I can get the wires back together starting Monday...

I have an accessory keyed fused panel that I will install somewhere near the center of the firewall..

    Nice work!

If you run low on wire again you may want to check your local auto stereo supply house. I have several different colors of 18ga fine stranded wire that is very flexible and great for signal and low amperage requirements.

The grub looks great too, now I'm hungry!

I have a small switch on my clutch pedal that I'm using as a neutral safety start. I used to have it hooked up to a relay and that hooked up to the S terminal of the starter solenoid. My question is do I need a solenoid because the factory setup didn't have one. And if I do, how would I wire the solenoid into that circuit?

I would think you can use the start wire off the ing. switch and run it through your clutch switch ...

If i'am wrong someone will make it right...

the factory does use a solenoid. we used the relay triggered by the ignition switch and clutch switch to trigger the solenoid. if you want to get rid of the relay then you need to figure out the amperage draw of the solenoid and the amperage capacity of the micro switch on the clutch pedal. if the micro switch can handle the amperage load of the solenoid then you dont need the relay.
