I knew I had posted a pic of your car sometime back...here's the thread

How far is Grovetown from the dragstrip...World bracket finals there in 2 weeks...you entered?
I got a spare T-brake button if that's the only thing holdin ya up. It will be my first trip there...about a 2 hour drive for me.

you guys are definitely in way over my head. i run the footbrake class here in phoenix at firebird and also at southwestern international raceway in tucson. been doing it for 8 years now. i'm happy as a lark running my 12's in the 1/4 around 115mph. no need to go faster for me, but i do like to be competitive so i am one of the faster cars in the sportsmen class. 12.0 is the limit for the class. leaving wednesday morning for speedworld in phoenix for the nhra division 7, et finals. this will be my first time in the race of champions so i hope i don't embaress myself too badly. ford_motorheads, which track are you going to race at and which class. maybe i'll get to see you there. :)

I'll take those Kaase heads off your hands if you're tired of using them for paper weights.

Cool car. I think I saw your heads for sale on some Mustang website classified ads like Hardcore5.0 or NMRA. I was thinking of those heads too, but by the time you add up all the extras needed they were too expensive...and too radical too. I hope my AFR 205's aren't too radical for my car. I'm a wanna be racer. We look forward to your experienced advice.

good to have you here. email me when you get a chance. I want the entire scoop on those Kasse heads....valves, rockers, pushrods, etc...

Your car seems to be working well. I'm in the midst of putting together that should run pretty well. Low 10's, high 9's on the motor, and who knows on the juice...

    thanks!

    well...

brackets is really not my favorite i'm really a index racer(hot rod) i runnered up a southern dragway in april and in july at carolina tore up motor. i've been doing a little series at carolina called g/c drag 7.0/6.40/5.70 . i held first in points until aug i'm 3 points behind leader with 1 race left. i didnot sign up for bracket points at carolina although i race it often for practice and to play spoiler for points guyz(they hate me)button will be here 2morrow thanx anyway grovetown is about 45 min from strip the car stays over in aiken at pops place its only 30 min from there. i have raced at cooper river b4 they changed to low country. i've heard its way better now come out sat rip you'll get way more passes!!!

You guys are way over my head but I love the pics and info. My 347 stroker sound like a 347 stroller compared to what you all are runnin. Just incase some one is intrested in racing on a budget and building a real nice 347 stroker that will dyno out around 530 hp.
with out going 60 over on the cylinders and built the 530 hp. with a great torque curve and did it on 92 oct. fuel. check out what is know as the sherminator 347 built by sherm racing in california. P.s. it whas done on a budget that intermeadiate racers can afford. a 950 cfm carb, arp heads a crane roller came, comp valve springs, scat crank,a ported out preform intake.you will have to spring for a mag and an electric waterpump. if you are truley interested is a 347 build that can take 7,000 rpm+ runs for a few years with out melting down this is what looks to me to be a strong build for the money. I beleive it was featured in motor engenering mag. if intrested in a slow ol 347 stroller like this drop me a line i have the article and the complete parts breakdown list.

I really do love you drag cars and I would like nothing more than to see some real top class champions in mavs and comets. if amc could do it with an amx I just know one of you guys will be there. good luke to all the drag racers out there you do the cars justice. thanks
