I might have a lead on one already. but ill be in touch if it falls through. thanks.

The sidepipes dont drag on speedbumps. I've got the air shocks up a bit and added a couple leaf springs.

Thanks for all the great commenta guys:yup: I'm glad you all like the look as much as I do. And they say that the younger crowd has no taste.....hmmfff.

hey tom do you mean its illegal to have the pipes exit in front of the rear tires:hmmm:

if it is i guess i'll have to go back to a single exhaust:mad:

i've seen a couple of mustang cobra R's around here the ones that have the dual tip side exit

will the exhaust there make the tires be worn down much faster?

    Tough looking Maverick.

I think Tom might be talking about the rear wheels getting him a ticket in good ol' Cali!

I had those sidepipes for 3 years...no problems. Loved them. They do not heat up the tires, and they sound GREAT! I hated to lose them, but they would not bolt up to my new headers without serious and constricting modifications because the headers ended about 8" behind where the side pipes started, and rather than do a figure-8 or something odd under there, I just took them off.

Would he get a ticket because of the size of the tires, or because they extend past the fender flares? (at least in the Bay Area?)

Also, it that a functioning Butterfly scoop?

I ask because a guy at the beach near my folks has a REAL Roots blower sticking out of the hood of his Geo Metro. Looks really...interesting, in a funny kind of way. Upon closer inspection, it is a blower that has been cut in half and bolted onto the hood, so it really looks real (because it is) but is not functional.

I know you can get those butterfly scoops that are not blown, but are functional (flaps open, cool air induction into the carb) for a decent price. Just wondering if you went that route.

No tickets here. Things are pretty lax in Michigan

Yes it is a functional cold air scoop. I'm not the type to do non-functional things:)

Although right now it is not driveable as i dont have any drive gears fpr some reason after a simple drain and fill of the trans....

But its cool. I just got my Audi 5000 back on the road after a 7 month long Holset HX35 turbo swap and a custom tube header....so I'm having much more fun with 20 lbs of boost than a slow 5.0

    hehe:D
