Welcome to the madness, lots of potential in these cars.Parts can be tough, but they are sooo simple to work on/modify and 302's drop right in with the right V-8 mav mounts.Enjoy and sweet dreams...
sand the hell out of that thing and go buy 10 cans of $1 white spray paint from walmart, some masking tape and grap a few old news papers. no joke. it'll atleast look 100x's better good luck
yeah, but ill end up sanding it all off to fix the dents and rust eventually, then Im out $10 that could have been used for 2 cans of primer. By the way, new pics! I worked on the body today and Im not able to upload pics to the user gallery yet(Do we have a FAQ or something that tells you how to set up a user forum or anything?). Before Primed and Filled Sanded Reprimed Still have small dents and pits in the bondo, I bought filler bondo and I'll be going across the body with that to make it smooth, then resand it, the prime it again, and hope thats it...
i think your post count needs to be so high before you can use the gallery. its still only like 15-20 posts i believe so you'll be there in no time
and here it is! Its kind of intimidating browsing around and trying to find somewhere to post in a forum full of veteran posters. [EDIT]Is the ability to upload photo's once you reach 10 automatic? I know its 10, I saw that today, I was looking around on how to request a user forum so Ill have somewhere to post my progress and such.
Welcome to the board. BTW in a couple of weeks there is The Maverick Comet Clubs annual Roundup. It will be in Dulles, Virginia. Lots of nice cars and great people there.
Welcome, keep up the good work, and just make sure that when you sand down the rust, you get it all and not bondo/prime over it as it will cause major problems later on
