    Hi again,

Sorry it took a while to get back to you. Hectic schedule ...

Most later Mavs and Comets (75-77) were disc brake cars. Also, parts can be had from Granadas/Monarchs/ Versailles. You will need the spindles, calipers and rotors. I believe that you need matching tie rod ends, too. It has been 10 years since I did this, so I'm fuzzy on the details.

You will also need to change to a disc brake master cylinder and combo valve. My MC is for a 77 Mav and it was brand new from the parts store. I went a bit different on the combo valve and got an adjustable Wilwood proportioning valve, but that was probably overkill. I did not go with power brakes, the pedal is a bit stiff, but throw enough leg at it and it's fine. Seem to me that the the pedal was a bit high and we had to shorten the rod going to the MC, too.

If I have mis-quoted anything here, somebody please help me out ... it has been a while.

So to sum up ... get everything from the spindles out and a combo valve from the junkyard, and get a new master cylinder ( and probably new rotors) from the parts store.

A search of the site here may turn up more detailed info. Good luck in the hunt and enjoy that car.!
