    :Welcome: from Forney, TX. As you can see they are plenty of Texas Maverick fan here.

    I may have a floor shifter for your conversion.

    Sounds good! I know a great place for BBQ Tacos in Godley.

    Midlothian, huh?

    Used to drive through there all the time on my way to grad school. Nice place to stop for gas and a soda!

    we've got a great Mexican restaurant here with killer fajitas.

    Anyone know a website that will help me identify just what this car has? All I currently know is that it is a 3 speed manual on the column. A 302 V8. Drum brakes. And it's painted gold! Problem with buying used is that you don't know exactly what you're getting.

    You could post up your VIN and we could help you interpret that. That will tell you paint color, rear gears, transmission, etc. Or at least what it had stock.

    Post some pics, too!

    Nice Mav..

    I saw your list. If I did it again I would only tackle one area at a time. My car has been aoart so long I don't know if it will ever go back together.

    Got my VIN number and information. Found a nice site to help translate this: http://home.comcast.net/~petebre/maverick/decode/1973.html

    3F91F137451

    3 = 1973
    F = Mfg. in Dearborn, Michigan
    91 = Maverick, 2 door sedan
    F = V8 302 CID 2V (what does CID 2V mean?)
    137451 = S/N

    Also found this:
    Body 62A : Maverick 2 Door Sedan
    Color 5H : Medium Brown Metallic (goldish??)
    Trim BF : Medium Ginger - Standard Cloth & Vinyl Bench (Ginger, cute!)
    Trans 1 : 3 Speed Manual
    Axle 3 : 2.79:1 (have no clue what this means)
    DSO 42 : Cleveland (again, no idea what this means)
