Hood Cowl Weather Strip /

    i didn't even know our cars were supposed to have that piece :huh:
    is it important?

    Well, it keeps moisture from just running in off the windshield and cowl area and into your engine bay mostly. I guess you could say it acts as a buffer between your hood and cowl vent area and acts as a cosmetic break in the beauty lines of the upper hood. Mostly the first part though! lol Hope that helps you! :)

    Mostly it keeps the fumes from the engine compartment, from getting sucked into the cowl vents, and blown into the car as fresh air....

    That sounds pretty important. I'm not gonna jack the thread tho. Thanks for the info... now I have to find one for the 71 as well lol.
