I noticed the other day on the highway :drive: the rear of the hood by the windshield lifts up about an in inch on either side. All the bolts are there and tight, and the hood is closed securely. Seems like it's just the hinges moving. I was just wondering if anyone else has seen this phenomenon.

Loosen the hinges on the apron and move them UP ... yes UP sounds like the wrong way to go ... but when they are bolted to LOW on the apron the hinges do no close far enough and this causes the RISE ...

    Mine doesn't. Anymore...

I put some rubber bumpers under there and spaced out the hinges so it stayed up about an inch all the time to act as a cowl hood. It also tightens up the pressures so it doesn't bounce around when I am getting some speed.

Keeps the engine cooler and allows a cooler air flow to the carburetor.

so would it be the same if mine is too low? Would I lower my hinges to get the back of the hood to raise up?
