Take a look at the Comet GT scoop. It bolts on, and there is many mavericks that have them including mine. You can make them a functional scoop just by cutting a hole in the hood where the scoop goes.. I did this also. Comet GT scoops sell for $99.00 new from AC. They are repo's but just the same or you can wait until a used 1 comes for sale on evil-bay.Mine is a mercury original, new when installed. hope this gives some light to the situmatation:wave:

There is a company that sells the Comet scoop for 79 bux.
I am not sure, but I think they are the company that supplies AK.
    Might be Crites... can't remember.
AK usually wants way more dough than if you bought the parts from the makers.
Maverick Connection is exactly the same. Buys stuff cheap and sells it with a healthy mark up.

If you are set on a Grabber hood, the only one that gets decent comments is Crites.

On my son's car, since I can't afford a used steel Grabber hood,(and I'm not giving up the one on my Maverick!) we've been thinking about the scoop that came on 69-70 Mach-1 Mustangs (bolt-on, not shaker)

They look pretty nice and have the cool turn-signal indicators on the back.

If you want really "aggressive", get a bolt on Boss 429 style scoop or Mopar "Six-Pack". They both measure large-by-huge, but they do make a statement.
