Ratio, I am not challenging your theory, but all I learned since growing up is cooler means more power. Before these headers (ceramic) came out, we were doing things with the cooling system to keep the motor cool, so it would perform better.

Here's one for you... Have you ever driven a car during the day (warm day), then driven that same car at night. There's a night and day difference in performance. Why... It's much cooler at night. A cooler car will alwas run better.

All the theory aside, I didn't get my headers coated because of a performance advantage. I simply did it to make them last longer and look better, the coating definitely did that. And maybe I'll find out next winter if there's a clearance problem. I doubt there will be.

I have heard from a few that the Hedmans actually hang a little lower than the Hookers. I went with the Hoolers based on responses.

I also forgot to add that some of the tubes needed to be dinged with the Hedmans, the Hookers dropped right in.

When you call and talk to Jet Hot, they even tell you they sell more Hookers for the Mav because they are proven to fit better than Hedmans.

Yeah, I know. I should have just read it a bit the hand. Sometimes it's hard though. I will probably catch it for that.

I never had to ding any brand LT header.
The Tri-Ys are a different story though.

I don't think the engine 'must' be raised for any LT header either.
But you have to get the car high enough in the air to be able to skip raising the engine.
I would just rather raise the engine and have the car at a sane height than to jack it up crazy high just to get the headers in. Doing it this way makes it easier to lean over the fender and secure the header for lowering.
Just my thoughts on the engine raising issue. Only takes one bolt per header, then falls right back into place.

This is what I've heard asking around. Not confirming it to be accurate info at all.

Raising the engine is NOT a must.
However, the car must be jacked up much higher that way.
    Just a heads up.
    It will work.
