    For one thing you need a fan shroud ,it would help alot.right now you don't have air flow thru radiator. And also make sure that you don't have any air in system.

    A tip for getting air out of the system is to drill an 1/8th in hole in the flange of the thermostat

    yep. or just buy one with the relief valve already built into it.

    I highly doubt that the overheating isseu here is the result of air in the system anyways.

    The simplest way to know if you have a major shroud/lack of airflow issue here is to simply drive the car. Move at anything more than about 30mph and the motor should cool down rather quickly. If it doesn't?.. then you have a flow related issue going on here.

    I'm back from taking the t.stat. from the engine and it turns out that the t.stat. didn't make much of a difference! I think most of this maybe coming from the timing being off a bit! Does anyone know what the timing should be?
