17 sec merc GT v8 Whatttt.

My first 73 gt went 15.84 @ the track and the car was only 18 and I was 26. Now that was embarr-assing. It felt like 13s on the street and there went the bank acct. Ive been bracket racing ever since. It doesnt matter whether your faster or slower - -Green Light White Stripe Takes It All Home Tonight.

I'm sure most of us understand that, but I doubt he's worried about bracket racing. Another member on this board, that lives in the same city as me, is a NHRA bracket champion, more than once (with a frickin Escort). Most kids these days want to win the race, not worry about staying within their bracket. (y)

yeah im just trying to put a little pep in the ol' engine. Might/ might not take it to the track. But it will be fun either way! Does anyone know where i can get a Chilton auto manual? For little stuff like putting in headers and changing out the radio. Radio doesen't work.

while its a good idea to have a repair manual, it wont tell you how to do modifications like install headers and a stereo.
for the headers just do a search on here and you find plenty of info on headers. the biggest trick is you need to undo the motor mounts and put the drivers side in first.

for a stereo you need to know wiring basics. follow the wiring diagram that comes with your new stereo.
