Yea I know, I gotta quit reading into these things. But should the whole day count even if you couldn't get to the other even if you wanted too?

OK, I will vote for the obvious with a disclaimer. In my down time while on the clock if I went out to work on the Mavericks I would be canned for sure in a short time. Since I run the Network, Internet access is simply never an issue.

Spend alot more time on here but I can acess this at work and unfortunitely I can't bring my Maverick with me.....If I could it would probably be done in a coupe of weeks and I would have plenty of overtime trying to catch up on all of the missed work:rofl2:

I spend way more time here than actually working on the car. I'm gone through the week, so weekends I catch up here. When I am at home, other projects, friend and family needs, and honey-do's take up a lot of my time. I've got a Chevette out in the yard right now I've got to bleed the brakes and fix the AC on for a friend of ours. Also trying to redo a travel trailer. With only 1 1/2 days off in a week, it get tuff sometimes, and things just have to wait....

last year at school we spent a lot of time learning computer programs in the first semester, and i learned a few things but i spent a lot of the "class work time" right here LOL :D

the teacher would walk by when i was on here and say "Matt, your still looking at those ghetto cars. those are cool" and then he'd tell me about his mustang. he was kinda a weird teacher but he let me be on the forums during class so i was cool with it

Ah, the good old days of surfing the MMB from school. A good many of the first couple of thousand posts I made here were from school in various computer related classes. Except I would have got in trouble for it most of the time, that's why you set the start menu to auto hide, and get real good at hitting ALT and TAB real quick to shift back to what ever program you're supposed to be on. :D

i put an old computer in my garage with internet access specifically so I could do both. Very handy when I am trying to do something to jump on here and use the search function. But I am on here more than working on the car.

My girlfriend thinks I'm writing a novel... but I'm actually lookin at cars...

That is brilliant... unfortunately, I only have a carport so the computer would get stolen as fast as the bums rooting through my garbage looking for cans and bottles.

This forum has given me a thousand ideas and saved me a thousand hours and a thousand dollars by relying on other peoples ideas and experiences to avoid making obvious mistakes and do something right the first time.

I check e-mail and the forum in the morning with my coffee too... and at night before I download porn and play games (after my girlfriend has gone to sleep because she does an early shift).

At least she accepts my old Comet now because of the endless comments and compliments I get. She still calls it a Pinto.

Anyhow... as I type this after 4 hours on the car tonight, making my keyboard all black again, I'd say I've spent 1 hour on this forum to every 2 hours I spend on the car... although half the time "working on the car to avoid housework" I actually just park it in the sun, crack a beer, crank the stereo, and sit there looking at it :D

But I admit that I'll have to ease up on the forum soon... I will be shopping for another Comet, so I need to paint the house, rebuild a balcony, and trim an 80 foot long hedge down to 15'... lotsa work, but it's a trade-off for family matters and tending house so I can have another toy to play with at the end of summer.

LOL more on the forum, but if i wasnt "someplace that im not supposed to be checking the forum" i would spend more time on the mav and comet. in fact recently on the weekends i have been spending most of my time working on the shock tower assembly (keep finding new little details i need to fix and my welding skills suck at this point). unfortunately the weekend is short...
