Looks like a pretty good deal for $4500 ... I really dig that style vinyl top too ...

Did you run a hose in the cowl? Just to see if they leaked?
Looks like a nice car, I don't like those wheels either.

No, I didn't run a hose in the cowl.

Here's the worst as far as rust underneath. All seamed solid while poking at it. Hopefully it'll clean up nice.

Looks good to me. Gotta love guys that jack it up under the rocker lip. Pet peeve of mine.
Be a nice driver from the sounds of it. Little bit of what looks like old guy influence with those head lamps and flames. I'd ditch the wheels, head lamps and steering wheel. Oh and those dice and stickers.LOL. I would have paid 4500 for sure.

Nothing hiding underneath. Did you try to negotiate a lower price? Not saying lowball but it's ok to ask his "rock bottom" price...I think you'll be glad you bought it and you will become addicted to this forum. btw, I don't care for the spoiler but that's an easy fix as well.

I got it for a few hundred lower.

The stock steering wheel, air cleaner, and valve covers come with it.

I never cared for the old school flames, but at least these don't stand out. You can't see them until you're up close.

I didn't get an underhood pic, but it looks ok. Engine was repainted a couple years ago.

What kind of horse power did these 302's have? If I end up keeping this car, it's gonna have to be faster.

I thought that car looked familiar. I saw it on Craigslist a couple months ago before you bought it.
    Nice car, keep it!:thumbs2:

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
    That sure does look beautiful!
Just looks like surface rust, nothing big.

I would also changed out the covers on the headlights. Other than that is looks great!

Around 200 at the flywheel. Nothing spectacular...... But with a few bolt/mods ons its easy to add 100 more. (y)

Guess I am an old guy because I like the ghost flames, I agree about the wheels though but I have seen a lot worse. I hate it when people destroy the dashpad by putting the tach there. Make sure you check to see that brake lights and turn signals work. I always look at the fuse box to see how corroded it is in that area

As far as rust in floorboards you can not always tell from underneath the car, I like to tap on floor from top side and see if anything feels funny or rust falls on ground.

Appears to be a nice car, enjoy it :thumbs2:

I'm not used to finding our cars in such good condition. Enjoy it. I'd be in every show in the area if I had that and I'd be the only one there! I haven't seen a Maverick or Comet yet in a show here in NE PA. That car would have a crowd around it all night!

I agree with the rest on the few changes but overall, nice buy.

They are ET Rims and were made in the 70's to early 80's to compete with the Cragar SSTs.

What size tires are on them, 14 or 15 inch?

The car looks like a solid runner! I'm with the rest of the guys though, the cheesy steering wheel and dash mounted tach would have to go. Oh, you might want to check your local regulations about those headlight covers. Some places have banned anything that covers or obstructs the headlight.

It looks good for $4500.00. I would give that for it. I have seen a lot worse for more money.

Nice car. Would look great with some Cragar SS wheels. I really dont like that spoiler. Wouldn't be so bad if it was a little wider. Maybe you can find a different spoiler that car mount in the same location and cover the holes left behind. But I think it would look best with no spoiler at all and have the holes flled and painted.
