Thanks for all the feedback everyone! I didn't care for the spoiler either. He has some sort of Comet/Maverick parts catalog he ordered it from.

I think they are 15", but will have to double check.

here's my nickle.. Loose the spoiler, get a sport steering wheel, add a hood ornament, wider tires , paint or clear the scoop. Might also toss that holder contraption on the hump. And YES! I do like it. :thumbs2:

Nice car from what I can see and what u've said. I wud give $4500.00 or somewhere close if I wanted it. From what I can see the rust on the bottom seems to surface rust. I have seen cars here for a few hundred bucks, but were rust buckets. If ur not well versed in metal work/body repair and have the skills and connections wud cost lots of money to repair.
Some of the folks on here have those attributes and do turn out fascinating results; but, for those of us who do not have those options - I say buy the best U can find and afford even if the price may seem a little pricey to others.
Things like the spoiler, str wheel and some other thing mention are merely bolt on cosmetic issues and can be changed in short order.
Enjoy ur Comet -- I am enjoyin mine...:thumbs2:

I agree with what most people are saying, i'd add some nice 15" magnum 500s, disc up front, ditch the steering wheel with a factory looking wheel, ax the spoiler, ax the console, ax the tach, add a dash cap and add the hood ornament.

I ended up backing out of the deal. If anyone happens to be interested in it feel free to contact me for a more detailed description of it.

Hey, congrats man! I thought about calling the guy back to see if he ever sold it, now I know. :)

He actually got $4100 for it. That is after I gave up the $100 deposit. :( I'm glad to hear he sold it quickly though. I felt bad for backing out of the deal.

You got a nice car for the money man. I just knew if I bought the car I would have put a few grand into it to get it where I would want it. That would have made it a $7000 Comet, which I really didn't want to get into.

Anyways, what kind of work are you doing to it? Get rid of all those stickers? :p
